Our history

From the start, the aim was to build connections with reputable suppliers and deliver value in both service and product. That objective remains today.

We look for better options by considering more than price alone, and we work with suppliers who share our focus on quality, reliability and long-term relationships.

Trade supply

We supply Radiata Pine to wholesalers, timber merchants and manufacturers throughout Queensland and Australia. We do not sell direct to the public, and all Radiata Pine is supplied in full-pack quantities.

Sourcing and consultancy

Over many years we have built long-standing relationships with timber suppliers in Australia, New Zealand and internationally. This has allowed us to offer a sourcing and consultancy service, connecting international suppliers with businesses throughout Australia and New Zealand.

International relationships

Alongside its sourcing and consultancy activities, MRG Connections has developed long-standing relationships with international timber producers and suppliers. One of these relationships is with ARAUCO, a major forest products company based in Chile.

Malcolm Gillott (Director of MRG Connections) has been a consultant and agent for ARAUCO since 2007 in both Australia and New Zealand, establishing connections with premium distributors throughout Australia, whilst continuing to grow the name, reputation and global expansion of the ARAUCO brand.

A global leader

For decades, ARAUCO has been driven forward by its vision of being a global leader in sustainable forest products. During this time, ARAUCO has evolved into one of the most respected forestry companies in the world, not only for the size and health of its plantation forests, the quality of its products and superior customer service, but also for its technical innovation, environmental responsibility and social commitment.

ARAUCO’s success is based on high-quality production that satisfies its customers while balancing the company’s needs with those of its employees, the environment, and the people who live near its facilities and plantations. This forms the basis for the responsible and efficient management of its natural resources, the occupational health and safety of its workers, and its active contribution to social development and welfare in the communities in which it operates.
